Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD mandates recurring inspections of the induction air‑box valve on specified Piper PA‑34‑200 serial numbers, using the procedure in Piper SB No. 358. The first inspection is within 100 hours TIS after 29 Sept 1972 and then every 100 hours. Owners/operators must arrange and fund the work (or have authorised maintenance perform it). Aircraft modified per Piper SB No. 374 are excluded, creating an alternative (one‑time) compliance path to avoid repeated inspections.
