What this does

This safety directive orders owners and operators of specific Piper Seneca aircraft to inspect and modify the main fuel supply lines to prevent potential fuel leaks or engine failure.

Who it affects

Owners and operators of Piper PA-34-200T model aircraft with serial numbers between 34-7570001 and 34-787027.

What must be done

Inspect the main fuel supply lines located in both the left and right nacelles (the engine housings on the wings)
Modify the fuel lines according to specifications in Piper Service Bulletin No. 596A (or the equivalent US FAA directive)
Complete the work within 25 hours of flight time after 30 October 1978

Important warning

If you already followed the previous version of this directive, you must still follow this amended version. The earlier version did not cover both sides of the aircraft, so previous compliance does not count for this updated requirement.
