AD/PA-32/9 Amdt 1 - Aileron Spar - CANCELLED

This document cancels an Airworthiness Directive (a mandatory aviation safety rule) that previously required owners of Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft to inspect their aileron spars (structural parts of the wing control surfaces) every 100 flight hours.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-32 (Cherokee Six) series aeroplanes registered in Australia.

Why it matters: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority reviewed the safety data and determined these periodic inspections were no longer warranted. This removes a regulatory burden from aircraft owners, eliminating the mandatory 100-hour inspection requirement while maintaining airworthiness standards. The cancellation took effect on 25 September 2008.
