AD/PA-32/77 - Aircraft Repair - CANCELLED

What this document does

This officially cancels an old aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive PA-32/77) that required a special one-time inspection of certain Piper Cherokee Six aircraft.

Who it affected

The original rule applied specifically to Piper PA-32 (Cherokee Six) aeroplanes that had been repaired by Capricorn Aircraft Repair of Thangool between 1985 and 1990.

What owners had to do

If your aircraft was affected, you needed to get a one-off inspection completed at the next scheduled maintenance check after 21 March 1991.

Why it matters now

This directive is now obsolete. The inspection deadline passed decades ago, and the safety concern has been resolved. This cancellation formally removes the requirement from the aviation safety rules as of 17 January 2008, cleaning up the regulatory books.
