This AD requires owners/operators of specified Piper PA-32RT-300/300T serials to inspect the rudder trailing-edge skin for cracks every 25 hours until a mandated modification is carried out, and to complete that modification per Piper Service Letter No. 882 (or FAA AD 79-26-04) within 100 hours.

Pilots may perform and certify the repetitive inspections; the compliance costs, scheduling and reliance on the referenced service letter fall to operators.
