AD/PA-32/62 - Nose Gear Actuator Rod End Bearing - Replacement - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule that applied to owners of specific light aircraft.

What it affects:

• Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six series aeroplanes

What it does:

• Revokes Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-32/62, which previously required aircraft owners to replace the nose gear actuator rod end bearing (a component in the front landing gear) within 100 hours of flight time after July 1979.

Why it matters:

• As of 25 September 2008, aircraft owners and maintenance engineers no longer need to comply with this specific replacement requirement, as the safety issue is no longer considered a risk.
