AD/PA-32/45 - Lower Cowl Drain - Inspection and Modification - CANCELLED

What this is: This document officially cancels a previous aviation safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive or AD) that applied to Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft.

What the original rule required: Owners had to inspect and modify the lower cowl drain (a drainage hole in the engine covering) according to manufacturer guidelines (Piper Service Bulletin No. 796). This work had to be completed within 100 flight hours after May 1977.

What this document does: It withdraws that safety requirement completely. As of 25 September 2008, owners no longer need to comply with the original directive.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-32 series aircraft. Since the directive is now cancelled, no action is required unless other separate rules apply.
