Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive mandates the replacement of a specific bolt in the throttle linkage system for certain Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft.

Who is affected

Owners and operators of Piper PA-32R-300 aircraft with serial numbers between 32R-7680001 and 32R-7780148
Owners and operators of Piper PA-32-300 aircraft with serial numbers between 32-7640001 and 32R-7740032

What must be done The throttle linkage bolt must be replaced following the procedures in Piper Service Bulletin No. 537. This must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after the directive's effective date.

Why this matters The throttle linkage controls engine power. A faulty bolt could cause the throttle mechanism to fail, potentially leading to loss of engine control and creating a serious flight safety risk.
