AD/PA-32/34 Amdt 1 - Main Landing Gear Cylinder Cracking - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels a previous aviation safety rule that required owners of Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft to regularly inspect their main landing gear cylinders for cracks.

What it means:

• For aircraft owners: You no longer need to perform the specific crack inspections that were previously mandated at every scheduled maintenance check.
• Why it changed: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority reviewed the requirement and determined it was no longer necessary to keep this as a mandatory safety directive. The original rule was not based on manufacturer guidance, and the authority concluded the safety risk did not warrant keeping the rule active.
