Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This mandatory Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of specified Piper PA‑32-260 (SN 32‑7400001–32‑7400047) and PA‑32‑300 (SN 32‑7440001–32‑7440147) aircraft to inspect wing spars via the aileron-area access panel for a square die‑stamp around lightening holes and for cracks.

If the stamp is only on the spar’s back side with no cracking, no further action is required; if the stamp is on the front side or any crack is found, the spar must be replaced or repaired under an approved scheme to prevent possible structural wing failure.
