This document officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (an Airworthiness Directive or "AD").

What the old rule required: Owners of Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft had to replace the windshield collar (the frame around the front window) according to manufacturer guidelines (Piper Service Bulletin No. 239). This had to be done within 100 hours of flight time after February 1967.

What this document does: As of 25 September 2008, that replacement requirement no longer applies. Aircraft owners and operators are no longer legally required to perform this specific repair on these aircraft.
