Who it affects: Owners of Piper PA-32-260 and PA-32-300 model planes with specific serial numbers (listed in the directive) that have vertically adjustable front seats.

What must be done:

Action required: Modify the seat frames according to instructions in Piper Service Bulletin No. 337 (a technical notice from the manufacturer).
Deadline: Complete the work within 100 hours of flight time after 31 May 1971.

Why it matters: This is a safety measure to prevent seat frame failures during flight. The modification ensures the adjustable seats remain securely attached to the aircraft structure.
