AD/PA-32/2 - Rudder Trim Installation - Modification - CANCELLED

What this does: This document officially cancels a previous safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-32/2) that required owners of Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft to modify their rudder trim systems.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-32 series aeroplanes who were still technically subject to this old directive.

Why it matters: The original rule—issued in the 1960s—required a one-time hardware modification to the rudder trim installation (following Piper Service Bulletin No. 237) with a compliance deadline of 31 March 1967. Because that deadline passed decades ago and the modification is no longer relevant to current aviation safety, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority has formally cancelled the directive as of 25 September 2008. This removes any lingering administrative obligation and clears the regulatory record.
