AD/PA-31/68 - Air Control Cable - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels an old aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-31/68) that applied to Piper PA-31 series aircraft (twin-engine planes often used for charter flights).

What the old rule required: A one-time modification to the pressurisation system's air control cable, carried out according to manufacturer guidelines (Piper Service Bulletin No. 585). Owners had to complete this fix within 100 hours of flying time after June 1978.

Why it was cancelled: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority cancelled this directive because every affected aircraft has already been modified. The safety issue has been resolved across the entire fleet, so the mandatory repair requirement is no longer necessary.
