AD/PA-31/52 - Replacement of Radio Power Relay Cover Spacer Bushings

This Act has been repealed and is no longer in force. It is retained for historical reference.

What this does: This directive orders owners and operators of specific Piper PA-31 aircraft to replace the spacer bushings on their radio power relay covers.

Who it affects: Only applies to specific Piper aeroplane models (PA-31, PA-31-325, and PA-31-350) with the exact serial numbers listed — ranging from 31-7612090 through various ranges up to 31-7752026.

What must be done: Aircraft operators must replace the faulty spacer bushings within 10 hours of flight time after 18 January 1977. The technical details for the replacement are found in Piper Service Bulletin No. 535.

Why it matters: This prevents potential failures in the aircraft's radio power relay system, which could affect electrical systems or communications equipment.
