Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD requires owners/operators of specified Piper PA‑31T, PA‑31T1 (tip tanks), and PA‑31T2 airplanes (limited serial-number ranges) to replace fuel quantity placards and update pilot handbooks/weight‑and‑balance data because the original placards overstated usable fuel, creating a risk of fuel exhaustion. Compliance was mandated within 100 hours’ time‑in‑service after August 31, 1984.
