AD/PA-31/103 - Heater Air Distribution Box Thermal Switch - CANCELLED

What this is: This document officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive, or AD) that applied to Piper PA-31 series aeroplanes.

What the old rule required: The original directive (AD/PA-31/103) required owners to modify the heater air distribution box in their aircraft within 100 hours of flying time after June 1982, following the manufacturer's instructions (Piper Service Bulletin No. 731).

Why it is being cancelled: All affected aircraft have now completed the required modification, so the safety rule is no longer needed. The cancellation takes effect on 31 July 2008.
