AD/PA-30/15 - Flexible Hose Assemblies - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-30/15) that applied to owners of Piper PA-30 and PA-39 Twin Comanche aeroplanes.

What it used to require: The original rule (dating back to December 1971) forced aircraft owners to inspect the flexible hose assemblies in the engine compartment within 100 flying hours to ensure they met fire-resistance standards. This was a unique Australian requirement that was not based on the manufacturer's own service bulletins.

What this document does: It cancels that inspection requirement effective 18 December 2008. Owners of these aircraft are no longer legally required to perform this specific hose check.

Why it matters: If you own or operate one of these aircraft, this removes a compliance burden. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has determined this particular safety rule is no longer necessary for airworthiness.
