AD/PA-30/10 - Fuel Selector Valve - Modification - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule that required owners of specific Piper aircraft to modify their fuel selector valves.

What it used to require: The previous rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-30/10) required owners of Piper PA-30 and PA-39 Twin Comanche aircraft to modify their fuel selector valves according to Piper Service Bulletin No. 314. This was originally required to be completed within 100 hours of flight time after August 1970.

What this document does: It officially cancels that modification requirement effective 18 December 2008. If you own or operate one of these aircraft, you no longer need to comply with this specific maintenance rule.

Why it matters: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has determined this particular safety modification is no longer necessary. This removes a compliance obligation for aircraft owners and maintenance providers.
