Plain English Summary

5/10 complexity

This amendment requires owners/operators of specified Piper PA‑28 aircraft fitted with Purolator (FACET) P/N 638873 engine air filters to inspect filter elements per Piper and Purolator service bulletins and to replace defective filters with an approved alternative; replacement with a non‑Puralator approved filter terminates the AD obligations. It sets inspection intervals for in‑service and spare filters and places the compliance burden and replacement costs on operators.
