Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this is: A cancellation notice for an Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety rule issued by the aviation regulator.

What the original rule did: It required owners of Piper PA-28 aeroplanes to get a one-off safety inspection if their aircraft had been repaired by Capricorn Aircraft Repair in Thangool between 1985 and 1990. The inspection had to happen by the next scheduled maintenance check after 21 March 1991.

Why it matters now: The rule became obsolete and was formally cancelled on 17 January 2008. This means affected aircraft owners no longer need to comply with this specific inspection requirement.
