Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document formally cancels a previous safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-28/67) that required owners of Piper PA-28 aircraft to modify their electric pitch trim switches. The original rule mandated a one-time fix according to the manufacturer's Service Bulletin No. 556, to be completed within 100 flight hours after October 1977. Because every affected aircraft has already been modified, the rule is now obsolete and has been removed from force.
