Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This document officially cancels an old aviation safety rule (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-28/55) that applied to Piper PA-28 aircraft. The original rule required aircraft owners to replace a specific fuel valve within 100 hours of flying time after March 1975. Because that deadline passed decades ago, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority cancelled the directive on 3 July 2008. What this means: The fuel valve replacement requirement is no longer in force, though any work already completed remains valid.
