This airworthiness directive requires owners/operators of Piper PA‑28 aeroplanes fitted with the STC SA28IAL nose‑wheel to inspect the Tibbetts Herre nosewheel fork for bends and cracks (using dye‑penetrant) and to replace specified nosewheel components with new part numbers. Inspections must be repeated every 25 flight hours until the modification is installed and the replacement parts must be fitted within 100 flight hours.
