AD/PA-28/48 - Outer Wing Spar - Inspection - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels an outdated aviation safety rule for Piper PA-28 aircraft (light planes commonly used for flight training).

What it does:

• Removes a requirement to inspect the outer wing spar (a major structural part of the wing)
• The inspection was originally required by an American safety rule (FAA AD 74-19-01) with a compliance deadline of 1974

Why it matters: Since the deadline was over 30 years ago, every affected aircraft would have already been inspected and modified. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has cancelled the rule because it is now redundant—there are no more planes left to fix.
