Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

Owners and operators of Piper PA-28 aircraft must inspect the rudder trim arm assembly for cracks around the bolt that attaches it to the rudder pedal bar. First inspection was within 100 flight hours after 29 Sept 1969; repeat inspections are required each time a new Maintenance Release is issued.

This mandatory check prevents possible rudder trim failure and loss of control. The latest update aligns inspection timing with typical periodic maintenance cycles rather than a fixed calendar schedule.
