Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This rule requires owners/operators of most Piper PA‑28 series (excluding PA‑28‑151 s/n 28‑7415001 to 28‑7515459) to inspect the aileron spar and its doubler—especially the curved radii near hinges—for cracks. Inspections must be done each time a new Maintenance Release is issued. It’s a timing update only; cracking can cause aileron failure and loss of control.
