Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This safety directive requires owners/operators of Piper PA-25 Pawnee agricultural aircraft in Australia to complete three mandated modifications before the aircraft is certified airworthy: install a "No smoking" placard, ensure the spray boom pressure gauge and hoses are altered or repositioned so spray liquid or fumes cannot enter the cockpit, and fit a one-way (non-return) valve at the hopper fill system. It reduces pilot exposure to toxic chemicals and fire risk, and now allows operators to propose alternative methods for relocating the gauge.
