What this document does

This officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that applied to Piper PA-25 Pawnee aeroplanes — agricultural aircraft commonly used for crop-dusting.

What used to be required The previous rule required aircraft owners to install a warning sticker (placard) in the cockpit advising pilots not to shove the throttle forward rapidly (open the power too quickly). This was originally mandated in 1972 to prevent engine or airframe damage.

What changes now As of 20 November 2008, owners no longer need to install or maintain this specific warning sticker. The safety requirement has been completely removed because it is no longer considered necessary.
