AD/PA-25/21 Amdt 3 - Top Longeron - Modification - CANCELLED

What this does

This document cancels a safety rule (called an Airworthiness Directive or AD) that previously required owners of Piper PA-25 Pawnee agricultural aircraft to modify a structural part of the plane called the top longeron (a metal beam running along the top of the fuselage). The original rule, introduced in 1971, required this modification to be done before the aircraft reached 1,000 hours of flight time.

Why it matters

Because the modification was mandated back in 1971, every affected aircraft still flying in 2008 has already been modified. This cancellation removes a redundant compliance obligation, meaning owners no longer need to track or prove compliance with this specific rule. The cancellation took effect on 20 November 2008.
