AD/PA-25/2 Amdt 1 - Main Undercarriage Vee Assemblies - Inspection - CANCELLED

What this does: This document cancels a previous aviation safety rule that required owners of Piper PA-25 Pawnee aircraft to inspect the main undercarriage "vee" assemblies every 100 hours of flight time.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-25 Pawnee series agricultural aircraft.

What changed: As of 20 November 2008, you no longer need to perform this specific inspection to comply with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requirements. CASA decided that making this inspection legally mandatory through an Airworthiness Directive (AD) was no longer necessary.

Background: The original rule was created specifically for Australia and was not based on manufacturer service documents. After review, CASA determined that continuing to enforce this inspection through binding legislation was unwarranted, so they cancelled the directive entirely.
