Previously, owners of Piper PA-24 Comanche aeroplanes were required to modify the pilot and co-pilot seats to fix a problem with the vertical adjustment mechanism. The seats had to be fixed according to Piper Service Bulletin No. 336 within 100 flight hours after May 1971.

This document officially cancels that requirement as of 23 October 2008 because it is no longer needed—most likely because all affected aircraft have long since been repaired or retired from service.
