AD/PA-24/24 - Propeller Inspection and Operating Instructions - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous safety directive (Airworthiness Directive AD/PA-24/24) that applied to Piper PA-24 Comanche aircraft.

What the old rule required: The original directive (dating back to 1970) mandated that aircraft owners conduct visual and dye penetrant inspections of McCauley propeller blades to detect defects, and install a specific warning placard in the cockpit.

What this document does: As of 23 October 2008, the inspection and placard requirements are officially abolished. Owners and operators of affected aircraft no longer need to comply with the previous directive.

Why it matters: This removes a maintenance burden from aircraft owners, formally ending a safety requirement that has been deemed no longer necessary.
