AD/PA-23/84 - Exhaust System - Inspection and Modification - CANCELLED

This document cancels a previous aircraft safety rule.

If you own or operate a Piper PA-23 Apache or Aztec aeroplane, this removes a previous requirement to have your aircraft's exhaust system inspected and modified.

What changed:

• The previous rule required a one-time inspection and modification of the exhaust system according to the manufacturer's instructions (Piper Service Bulletin No. 662)
• This work had to be completed within 100 hours of flight time after December 1982
• This cancellation means that specific requirement no longer applies

Why this matters: Owners and operators of these aircraft are no longer legally required to complete this specific exhaust system modification. This reduces regulatory compliance costs for these older aircraft, though they must still meet general airworthiness standards.
