Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This cancels the 1971 requirement that front seats of pre‑1967 Piper PA‑23 Apache and Aztec aircraft be fitted with shoulder harnesses. As of 17 January 2008 that specific directive is no longer in force and its requirement is now covered by the broader AD/GENERAL/74 Amendment 1. Owners, operators, maintenance engineers and pilots of PA‑23s should follow the newer general rule instead.
