AD/PA-23/27 - Wing Flaps - Inspection and Modification - CANCELLED

This document cancels an old aviation safety rule for Piper PA-23 Apache and Aztec aircraft.

What it did originally: The 1962 directive required owners to inspect the wing flaps every 100 flight hours until they were modified or replaced.

What this does now: Effective 3 July 2008, this cancellation removes that inspection requirement entirely.

Why it matters: The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) determined that all affected aircraft would have completed the necessary inspections and modifications decades ago, making the rule obsolete. Owners and operators of these vintage aircraft no longer need to track or comply with this specific flap inspection schedule.
