AD/PA-23/19 - Elevator Control Tube Bellcrank Attachment - Modification - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels a previous aircraft safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that required owners of Piper PA-23 Apache and Aztec aeroplanes to replace a specific nut in the elevator control system. The original rule was issued because a self-locking nut in the bellcrank attachment (a pivot point that helps move the elevator) needed replacement to ensure flight safety. Since this was a once-only modification that would have been completed on all affected aircraft long ago, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority has scrapped the rule as it is no longer needed.
