Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This AD requires operators and maintenance organisations to remove Goodrich G-3-787 wheels and perform penetrant inspections of the wheel-flange areas at intervals no greater than 100 flight hours and at each tyre change. Any wheel half found cracked must be removed from service. Issued by CASA, it references the manufacturer service bulletin and an FAA AD as alternative compliance paths. The rule reduces in‑service crack risk but increases inspection, replacement costs and downtime.
