AD/PA-22/26 - Flexible Fuel Hose Assembly - Inspection - CANCELLED

This instrument cancels an old aircraft safety rule.

It removes the requirement for owners of Piper PA-22 Tri-Pacer and Colt aeroplanes to inspect or replace a specific flexible fuel hose assembly. The original rule (from 1972) addressed a safety risk identified in a 1972 manufacturer bulletin, but the unsafe condition no longer exists because those aircraft have either been modified or retired from service.

What this means:

• For aircraft owners: You no longer need to carry out the inspection or replacement previously required by directive AD/PA-22/26.
• Effective date: The cancellation took effect on 5 June 2008.
