AD/PA-22/24 Amdt 1 - Right Hand Fuel Tank Quantity Gauge - Placard - CANCELLED

This instrument cancels an old aircraft safety requirement for owners of Piper PA-22 Tri-Pacer and Colt aeroplanes.

What it does:

• Removes the requirement to install a cockpit placard warning about the right-hand fuel tank quantity gauge.

Background:

• The original directive required compliance with Piper Service Bulletin No. 250A (published in 1970).
• Regulators determined that the unsafe condition this addressed no longer exists, as all affected aircraft have been modified or retired over the intervening decades.
