AD/PA-11/4 - Wing Fuel Tank Cap - Modification - CANCELLED

What this does: This document officially cancels a previous safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that required owners of certain Piper aircraft to modify their wing fuel tank caps.

Who it affects: Owners and operators of Piper PA-11 (Cub) and J3 series aeroplanes.

Why it matters: The original rule from 1978 required a one-time modification to fix a safety issue with fuel tank caps. Because those aircraft are now decades old, the unsafe condition no longer exists in the fleet. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority has cancelled the requirement, so owners no longer need to perform this modification or worry about complying with the old rule.
