Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This is an Airworthiness Directive (AD) — a mandatory safety order issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) that has the force of law.

What it requires Owners and operators of specific Partenavia P68 aircraft must replace the aircraft's fuel filter bowl (a component that cleans fuel before it reaches the engine). The replacement must be done according to the manufacturer's Service Bulletin No. 30B.

Who is affected? This applies to Partenavia P68 and P68B model aeroplanes with serial numbers 101 and below, except for aircraft with serial numbers 19, 82, 87, and 100.

Deadline The work must be completed within 100 hours of flight time after 28 February 1978.

Why this matters Fuel filter bowls on these aircraft can develop defects that may cause engine failure. This directive mandates replacement of potentially faulty parts before they create an in-flight safety hazard.
