AD/P68/5 - Circuit Breaker Installation - Inspection - CANCELLED

This document officially cancels an old aircraft safety rule (Airworthiness Directive) that applied to Partenavia P68 series aeroplanes (a type of light aircraft).

What it used to require: Back in 1977, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) discovered a defect where circuit breakers (safety switches that cut electrical power during faults) might not be connected to the correct systems on these planes. The rule required a one-time inspection within 100 flight hours to check the wiring was correct.

What it does now: As of 28 August 2008, that inspection requirement is completely cancelled. Owners and operators of Partenavia P68 aircraft no longer need to perform this specific check.
