Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires owners/operators of Vulcan P68 Observer, P68 Observer 2 and P68TC Observer aeroplanes (serial numbers up to and including 400) to inspect the nose landing‑gear upper strut for cracking, following Vulcan Air Service Bulletin No. 98 (31 July 1999). Compliance must occur at the next Maintenance Release inspection after the AD’s effective date or before 18 May 2001. CASA (through its delegate) issued the AD; operators pay for and must schedule the inspections and any remedial work because the manufacturer reported crack findings.
