Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

What this does This safety directive mandates a specific inspection and modification for Partenavia P68B aircraft to prevent fire hazards.

Who it affects Owners and operators of all Partenavia P68B model aeroplanes.

What you must do

Inspect the Weldon auxiliary fuel pumps mounted in both engine rear nacelles (the housings behind the engines) to check if overboard fuel drains are installed
Install drains if they are missing, using the specifications in the manufacturer's Parts Catalogue (Figure 7-1, Items 4 and 8)

Why it matters Missing fuel drains can allow fuel to pool in the engine nacelles, creating serious fire risks. This directive ensures fuel can drain safely overboard rather than accumulating near hot engine components.

Compliance timeframe Aircraft operators must complete the inspection and any necessary installations within 50 hours of flying time after the specified effective date.
