Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

This airworthiness directive applies to Partenavia P68 series aeroplanes and requires work and repeated inspections according to Partenavia Service Bulletin P68-87 Revision 1: set a specific bolt torque, fit a revised safety screw, and check reference lines and torque. Aircraft owners/operators must carry out the initial and recurring checks within the stated flight-hour windows. The directive was issued after an accident attributed to the stabiliser drive horn slipping on the torque tube, so it changes maintenance actions and inspection timing to reduce that mechanical risk.
