Plain English Summary

This AD mandates immediate replacement of the nacelle heat detector on all Piaggio P166 transport‑category aeroplanes with an approved fire detector meeting ANO Section 101.1.3.1 (Issue 2, para 2.4). It applies to every affected aircraft and requires compliance “forthwith.”

Practical effects: operators face immediate parts, installation, approval and scheduling work and potential downtime; the AD does not allocate costs, list acceptable systems, or explain the underlying safety rationale.
