Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This AD targets Navion-series aeroplanes fitted with rudder horn P/N 145-24401, requiring inspection for corrosion and cracking within 100 hours TIS after 28 Nov 1968 and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 12 months. It places the inspection obligation and likely costs on owners/operators. The directive prescribes timing but not methods or acceptance criteria, leaving operators and maintenance providers to choose inspection techniques and any corrective actions, which creates practical discretion and implementation risk.
