Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Airworthiness Directive requires operators of specified Mitsubishi MU‑2B series aeroplanes (listed models and serial numbers) to inspect the flap drive torque tube following Mitsubishi Service Bulletin No. 237 to detect improper installation that could disconnect the flap drive train. CASA (the delegate signing the AD) mandates the inspection before further flight from 16 January 2002; operators fund and carry out the inspection and any corrective work, using the service bulletin and the referenced JCAB AD as the inspection instructions.
