Plain English Summary

3/10 complexity

The directive requires owners/operators of specified Mitsubishi MU-2 serial-numbered models to have the landing-gear bearing box(es) modified in accordance with Mitsubishi Service Bulletin 230, with compliance within 100 hours TIS after 29 January 1998 (effective that date).

It responds to a JCAB finding that the change prevents possible inability to fully extend the landing gear; the cost, downtime and arrangement of the work fall to aircraft owners/operators.
